I’m reprising my role as the creepy cyborg this Halloween. The eye is animated, which really freaks the kids out.

I just canceled my Comcast service and it was surprisingly easy. I was prepared for a fight, but I just said we didn’t want the service anymore and weren’t interested in lowering the bill, and that was that. Rep was respectful and generous. That’s the way to do customer service.

Got one.

And capped off the weekend with pizza at Lou Malnati’s with some new friends — local IAs who are going to help show our attendees a great time.

And the food… my god, the food. Paul introduced us to Portillo’s. I had a dipped Italian beef. To die for.

We had some fun, too. Had to check out the city, so we took an architecture boat tour.

We have been hard at work this weekend checking out the Hilton Chicago, home of #IAS18. It’s beautiful and grand. They don’t make ‘em like this anymore.

In Chicago for conference planning, but also really for this. So, so psyched to finally see the show.

I completely agree with this Vox.com headline: “This video is the best 5 minutes you will see on the NFL protests. Seriously, watch it.”

Seeing Ben Folds in Seattle tonight. So great to finally see him in concert. First half was a mix of old and new stuff. Second half is all audience requests submitted by paper airplane. Awesome.

We watched The Big Sick last night. What a charming movie – a romcom without schmaltz or sappiness… just a real good, funny movie. It warms my heart to see a creative project that’s so well done.

The iPhone X video is starting. My credit card just jumped out of my wallet and landed on top of my computer. This is not going to end well.

That AR game demo on the iPhone 8 was amazing. Want!

There’s a lot of truth to this article. And yet, I have a more positive view of some of Allen’s later films than the article’s author. Allen has outright failures, but many of his weaker films still have their charms, and his stronger films are among my favorites.

I think I might have made a bit of a mess out of my 3D printer. The black plastic I was printing melted into the black plastic printer parts. Oh vey.

I just love this video. Great story about the evolution of a creative idea.
